ANTI-VIOLENCE TRAINING INSTITUTE

SYLLABUS BREAKDOWN
You are not helpless when facing violence in the workplace. Techniques and tactics that enable you to stop violence before starts or de-escalate violent situations if they occur, do exist. The mission of the Anti-Violence Training Institute is to arm employees and managers with powerful tools so that they can defeat violence.
What is Anti-Violence Training?
People can be violent. People can be nonviolent. But when people take a proactive approach to preventing and de-escalating violence, or are forced to physically defend themselves, they can also be anti-violent. Actions such as making sure key doors are secured or knowing what to say or do if someone is threatening you are all acts of anti-violence. Recovering from the trauma of violence and maintaining mental and emotional equilibrium is also a bold form of anti-violence action.
Training Philosophy
Our goal is to give people the skills they need to stay safe from violence. The training is based on down-to-earth realities and time-tested solutions that are proven to be effective. The de-escalation techniques are easy to learn and make sense which makes them memorable. This course meets and exceeds all state mandated requirements. The program covers everything from recognizing the origins of workplace violence to protecting yourself in an active shooter situation and dealing with the emotional aftermath of a violent event.
